Orders are processed within 24 hours of being placed. If we have any questions or concerns about your order, we will notify you within 24–48 hours.

For security, Innocent Armor never sees or stores your payment information.

SHIPPING POLICY

Most orders ship from our U.S. facility within 1 business day, with a same-day cutoff of 1 PM Pacific Time.

Shipping options:

    •    Ground: 2–5 business days

    •    2-Day: available at checkout

Note:  Body armor cannot be shipped to New York or Connecticut due to state restrictions.

If an item is temporarily out of stock due to high demand, we will notify you within 24 hours with an estimated restock date or alternative options.

We accept returns or exchanges within 21 days of delivery.

Items must be unworn, unused, and returned in original packaging.

    •    Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

    •    A 15% restocking fee applies to refunds (not exchanges).

    •    Innocent Armor does not accept returns on worn garments.

To request a return or exchange, email support@innocentarmor.com with:

• Order number

• Item you’d like to return/exchange

• Reason for return

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us at support@innocentarmor.com within 24 hours of delivery.

We will send a free prepaid return label and ship the corrected item at no cost.

Ballistic panels can be removed for cleaning.

For all carriers (shirts, vests and jackets):

    1.    Ensure hook-and-loop fasteners are closed.

    2.    Machine wash cold on delicate or permanent press (approx. 120°F).

    3.    Use low-suds detergent.

    4.    Do not use bleach.

    5.    Tumble dry on low or hang dry.

Each product page includes specific sizing guidelines.

For best fit, measure your chest and torso according to the charts on each item.

Yes. All ballistic panels are tested at NIJ Level IIIA laboratories and tested to meet NIJ Level IIIA standards.

In addition to formal NIJ testing, we have over 35 independent field tests conducted by former law enforcement, military personnel, and industry professionals. These real-world tests include handgun impacts, angle shots, movement scenarios, and durability assessments — all publicly available for transparency.

Our soft armor is NIJ Level IIIA, the highest protection rating for soft body armor. Level IIIA is tested to stop most handgun rounds, including high-velocity threats such as:

    •    9mm

    •    .357 Magnum

    •    .357 SIG

    •    .44 Magnum

Additional details:

    •    Level IIIA is the same protection level commonly used by law enforcement.

    •    It is designed for concealable, everyday-wear armor.

    •    Soft armor does not stop rifle fire.

For rifle protection, a hard armor plate (Level III or Level IV) is required.

In most of the United States, law-abiding civilians can legally purchase and own body armor. Some states have specific restrictions, so it's worth checking your local regulations, but for the majority of Americans, ownership is legal. Read our complete state-by-state legal guide here.

Body armor is often only seen in movies, news coverage, or on law enforcement, which creates the impression it's exclusively tactical gear. In reality, plenty of ordinary people choose body armor for everyday preparedness — business owners transporting deposits, real estate agents meeting new clients, travelers, parents, and anyone who wants an added layer of protection.

NIJ Level IIIA is generally considered the highest level of soft body armor. It's designed to stop common handgun threats, including 9mm and .44 Magnum rounds, while staying flexible enough for daily wear.

Body armor sales cannot be shipped to residents of:

    •    New York

    •    Connecticut

We also cannot ship internationally unless the customer meets all export regulations.

All ballistic panels include a 5–8 year warranty from the manufacturing date.

Warranty is void if:

    •    The product is modified

    •    Cleaning instructions are not followed

    •    The garment is misused or intentionally damaged
